We also detached the baseboards to expose the lower drywall for drying. Water-damaged drywall was removed along the perimeter to open up the framing. Then came the industrial equipment: three air movers and one large-capacity dehumidifier running around the clock. Our team applied an anti-microbial solution to the drywall and both sides of the carpet as a preventive measure against mold growth during the dryout period.
Bedroom and Closet
The bedroom got the same treatment: contents moved, carpet water extracted, pad pulled, wet drywall removed at the base. Anti-microbial applied, air movers and a dehumidifier running for four days.
Furnace Room, Bathroom, and Cat Room
The furnace room had water on both the concrete floor and a small area of carpet, so we extracted the water and treated the surfaces with anti-microbial. A dehumidifier ran for four days to bring humidity levels down. In the bathroom, baseboards were detached, trim was removed, and holes were drilled into the wall cavity to increase airflow behind the drywall. The cat room’s tile floor was disinfected and treated. Every room, every surface, handled with the same level of attention.
