How We Restored a Flooded Finished Basement in Appleton After a Plumbing Failure

What We Found When We Arrived

How We Approached the Mitigation

Step one: we started pulling water. We ran commercial extractors across every affected room until the standing water was gone. Then we ripped out the carpet and pad throughout the bar area, pool room, and hallways, exposing the concrete subfloor underneath. All that saturated material had to come out before drying could even begin.

Why Structural Drying Is the Most Important Step

Structural drying is where the real work happens. Pulling out visible water is only the beginning. The moisture trapped inside concrete, framing, and subfloor materials is what causes long-term problems if you don’t address it properly.

We applied antimicrobial treatment to all exposed wall cavities, framing, and subfloor surfaces.
